The Canadian Transportation Museum is located in Essex and it is the largest museum of its type in Ontario. It is situated on a 100 acre site and includes a stand-alone 15,000 sq ft Emergency Medical Services Museum (the only one in Canada), a 1930's service garage and over 20 heritage buildings including all furnishings dating from the late 1700's to the 1920's. Come out and see the oldest car in Canada and partake in a guided tour of the history of the automobile and see the remarkable collection of vehicles available. You may also visit our gift shop and eat at our 50's Diner offering breakfast and lunch specials daily.
The organization is a registered charity and is responsible for raising funds for other charities as well as their own including the Canadian Cancer Society and Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Essex County. In addition, the museum offers one day, hands-on history programs for both grade and high schools students and their teachers. The facility is available for rental parties and weddings.

The Canadian Transportation Museum is proud to sponsor a two day car show on Saturday August 29, & Sunday August 30, 2009 as part of the Windsor Air Show. Don't miss the opportunity to see up to 100 vintage, historic and hot rod vehicles. There will be 50 different vehicles on each day displayed alongside the classic and modern air planes on display and flying during the Windsor Air Show. ALL SHOW VEHICLES WILL BE PRESENT BASED ON "INVITATION ONLY" BASIS from the Canadian Transportation Museum.
